About the House of Golden Light
Aloha and E Komo Mai. Rooted in aloha and divine service, the House of Golden Light is a nonprofit spiritual ʻohana devoted to healing, attunement, and the global awakening of higher consciousness.
Founded in 1976 in San Jose, California, and relocated to Oʻahu, Hawaii in 1991, we are now based on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. We are guided by the wisdom of the Golden Light—a pure, loving frequency that supports deep spiritual transformation. Through Reiki healing, energetic attunements, and sacred ordainments, we empower individuals to awaken their inner light and share it with the world.
Healing is our birthright. The path to wholeness is illuminated by compassion, reverence, and connection to Source. Our offerings are open to all, and shared by donation as part of our kuleana to serve with aloha.
At the heart of our mission is this knowing: when we uplift one soul, we uplift the collective.
A Message from Our Founder, Rev. Patricia Villalobos
“Are you feeling the Golden Light?”
In 1976, at the age of 35, while walking the quiet backstreets of Honolulu, I received a divine message—Jesus spoke to my heart and told me to open a community center. Soon after, I returned to San Jose and met kindred souls who shared the same vision.
One was a real estate agent who told me of a grand Victorian home in downtown San Jose: 15 rooms, 7 bedrooms, filled with potential. I invited my family to see it. When my mother asked, “What do you want this home for?” I answered simply, “To do Jesus’ work.” Without hesitation, she turned to my father and told him, “Write the check.”
That home became our sanctuary. Together, we sat in prayerful silence, entering a trance-like state to receive guidance. From that sacred space, the name “House of Golden Light” was born. Within two years, the City of San Jose invited us to become a registered nonprofit. We answered the call and became a 501(c)(3), devoted to spiritual healing, service, and light.
The journey now continues from here, on the Big Island of Hawaii, as we share this light with all who are ready to receive. Are you feeling the Golden Light?

Attunements are guided with reverence and care by an experienced Minister of the Golden Light.
